Dear Rick,

After seeing your performance so many times down at Granville Island, I was sure that your humour would fit right in with our Corporate Christmas Party at the Hotel Vancouver. However, it surpassed my expectations.

As you know, our Christmas Party is open to all employees, therefore we have every position represented from Pharmacy Managers to Warehouse Handlers to Executives. Choosing entertainment to suit all is quite a challenge.

When you suggested that you stroll through the cocktail party before hand, I wasn’t sure how that would go over, but it worked out really well. The unicycle act was really funny. I had visions of you falling into someone’s lap and then your water jug following suit!

(This event took place at the Hotel Vancouver, one of Vancouver, British Columbia’s finest meeting venues. This hotel opened in May of 1939, hosting as one of its first guests King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Its construction straddled the era of the great depression, resulting in building time of 11 years. In the 1990s the property undertook a 70 million dollar facelift and is today one of Vancouver’s most stellar hotels.)
